Comments on wine list/beer: We had Dos Equis y Margaritas. The wine list was basic, cheap and predominantly new world

    Review:
Situated in the cobbled, tourist quarter of Edinburgh close to the Castle, this restaurant was chosen on the spur of the moment by a family of four in need of a family-friendly option. As the name suggests the place is a Mexican restaurant, and a reasonably authentic one at that. The place was full—a good sign—with a very pleasant atmosphere.

The nachos, burrito and enchilada were all quite good. My partner, who knows about Mexican food, said that to judge the quality of a Mexican restaurant one should really order the Fajita, which we did not. None the less I’d recommend this place to anyone in need of a relaxed, good-value meal in the heart of Scotland’s lovely capital city.
